A family of Christians committed to the truth found in God's Word.
The University church is made up of people simply trying to follow Jesus and His Spirit-revealed teachings. We are an independent and undenominational church that follows the New Testament as our only standard of faith and practice.
For more than fifty years this congregation has met on the north side of Tampa. What we want for one another is the joy of true discipleship — a life of happy devotion to our Lord — and we would be glad for you to see what that looks like up close.
When we gather
Four times a week, and you're welcome at any of them.
Bible Classes
Classes for every age, working through a book of the Bible together. Adults are usually mid-study in something like Luke, Genesis or Revelation.
What to expectMorning Worship
Singing, prayer, the Lord's Supper, the contribution, and preaching from the text. About an hour.
Plan a visitEvening Worship
A second time to worship and be taught together on the Lord's day.

Next door to USF
We sit minutes from the University of South Florida, and college students have long been part of this church — including a men's gospel meeting built around them. If you're far from home, you have a place here.
About usHands-on, not institutional
Members work directly with people in need — sex trafficking recovery, domestic violence, poverty, homelessness, and support for mothers. The help comes from Christians, personally, rather than through an institution.
What we doPreachers around the world
A large share of this congregation's work is supporting gospel preachers — including labor in Ethiopia and the Seychelles Islands.
