About this sermon
A Wednesday evening Bible class on John 10, where Jesus narrows the same figure twice: first "I am the door," then "I am the good shepherd." The teacher works through what it means that sheep answer only one familiar voice, the hired hand who runs when the wolf comes, and the promise that no one can snatch the sheep out of the Father's hand, which he pairs with Romans 8 and the one thing Paul leaves off that list. It closes at the Feast of Dedication with the demand to speak plainly and Jesus' reply out of Psalm 82.
