About this sermon
The class opens with a line from Hendriksen, they came with torches to seek out the light of the world, and divides John 18 into betrayal, trial, denial, and the exchange with Pilate. Most of the hour is discussion: why Judas knew the garden, what it means that hundreds of armed men fell back when Jesus said "I am," why Peter drew a sword and then denied him at a gate, and how Annas and Caiaphas shared the high priesthood between them.
