About this sermon
Two chapters in one hour, and the teacher tells the class up front to buckle up. He frames the stretch as Jesus versus Jerusalem: the Sadducees' riddle about resurrection answered from the burning bush, a challenge over how David can call his own son Lord, then the scribes' showmanship set against a widow's two small coins. The last half turns to the destruction of the temple, read with Josephus on the siege and Jeremiah's laments over an earlier ruined city as judgment on that generation rather than the second coming.
