About this sermon
Three classes from the end of the Luke study, this evening session runs from the plot against Jesus and Judas's bargain into the upper room, where a feast that looked forward to a sacrifice becomes a memorial that looks back on one. The teacher traces how the new covenant is sealed in blood, why the apostles' argument over greatness lands so badly on that particular night, and what betrayal by a trusted friend cost Jesus beyond the physical suffering. It ends in Gethsemane with the arrest and Peter's sword.
