About this sermon

The last of Josh Higgins's summer Greek classes takes three words in turn and shows how each hands off to the next. Lutron, the ransom price a captive could never raise himself, opens onto dikaios, a righteousness that belongs to God alone and yet is meant to be shared with those who come near him, which opens onto metamorphoo, a change that is complete the moment a person is transferred out of darkness and still unfolding for a lifetime. A bonus fourth word, propitiation, gets its pagan Greek background too. Discussion-heavy, with the class working the definitions out loud.
