28 JAN 2026 - Wed Bible Class - Obadiah

Twenty-one verses, and the teacher cheerfully admits Obadiah is nobody's favorite prophet. A Bible Project video sets up Edom's betrayal of Judah at Jerusalem's fall; the class then works through what pride actually does, it deceives the proud and diminishes God, and why standing by, looting, and gloating over a brother's misfortune draws such a verdict. Jacob and Esau, sibling rivalry, Proverbs 24 and Psalm 50 all come in, and the hour closes with the class naming practical strategies for keeping pride out of their own lives.
