About this sermon

Mason Garth builds a lesson on Colossians 3 out of a wardrobe change: the feeling of throwing out worn clothes and putting on something new. His argument is that identity precedes behaviour: the Colossians had already been raised with Christ. He spends real time on the word "hidden," comparing a life hidden with Christ to money kept in an insured bank rather than under a mattress, then moves through covetousness as idolatry, the self renewed in the creator's image, and the relational virtues of verses 12-14 before an invitation.
