Minor Prophets #8 - Amos

The last four chapters of Amos, taught on the final class night of the year: woe to those at ease in Zion, five rapid visions of judgment, and a plumb line God holds beside the wall rather than standing on it: "this is not up to code." The class works through Amaziah's attempt to shame Amos into silence, asks what warning signals God uses in an ordinary life, and lands on chapter 9's promise of a better king and a kingdom opened to all nations. Discussion-heavy, with several members reading and pushing back.
