About this sermon
Righteousness is first God's and only then ours, and Ephesians 6 is not borrowing a Roman soldier at random: the visiting teacher argues Paul is quoting Isaiah 59, where God looks for someone to intercede, finds no one, and puts on the breastplate himself. From there this Wednesday summer-series class works out what wearing it looks like day to day, reading the elder qualifications of 1 Timothy 3 as a portrait of being above reproach that should fit every Christian. It ends with the breastplate traded for a robe, and an invitation.
