Sword of The Spirit - Seth Kemple

Seth Kemple takes the sword of the Spirit, the last individual piece of Paul's armor, in this Wednesday class from University's Battle Tested series. He builds first from the Old Testament picture of God as a warrior who goes ahead of his people, then asks why soldiers with such a commander need a weapon at all: answering from Jesus, who met temptation with what is written. Two different Greek words for cutting separate the crowd at Pentecost from the council that stoned Stephen. It ends in Revelation 19, where heaven's armies wear linen rather than armor.
