When Love is Finished
1 John 4:7-12John 3:16John 131 Corinthians 13
About this sermon
JP Flores spends the whole sermon inside 1 John 4:7-12, pressing on the gap between knowing God loves you and believing it. He moves from identity, beloved before useful, to the cross, where love stops being an abstraction, and then to verse 12, where the word translated "perfected" means brought to completion, the same word Jesus speaks from the cross. His conclusion is that God's love is not finished until it passes through his people to someone else. Flores also tells the congregation that his family leaves at the end of next month.
